BIOGRAPHY
Ana-Marija Brkić is an Austrian soprano. She completed her studies in Stage Performance, Art Song and Oratorio, as well as in Vocal Pedagogy at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna. Currently she is taking private lessons with Nenad Marinković.
She has won first prizes in the competitions Prima la musica and Musica Juventutis and taken masterclasses with singers like Emma Kirkby, Marjana Lipovšek, Benoît Dratwicki and Jory Vinikour. On stage she has performed the roles of Puss in boots (C. Cui, childrens' opera "Puss in boots"), Aloès (E. Chabrier "L’Étoile"), Zerlina (W. A. Mozart "Don Giovanni"), Dorinda (G. F. Handel "Orlando") and Hermione (C. Dienz, contemporary children‘s opera "Die gefesselte Phantasie").
Over the last few years she has given performances with various ensembles, including Momentum Vocal Music, Company of Music, Balthasar-Neumann-Chor and her own ensemble Zeitenklang. Since 2021 she has been a member of the Dutch choirs Cappella Amsterdam, Nederlands Kamerkoor and Amsterdam Baroque Choir. 2024 marked the beginning of her collaboration with the Austrian Contemporary Music ensemble between feathers. Last year she gave a concert in the Klosterneuburg Abbey as a soloist with the lautten compagney.
Apart from Early, Contemporary music and Art Song she has always had a continued interest in World Music, especially in the genre Sevdah – owing to her Croatian-Bosnian roots.

BIOGRAPHIE
Ana-Marija Brkić ist ein österreichischer Sopran. Sie erhielt ihre Abschlüsse in Musikdramatischer Darstellung, Lied und Oratorium sowie Gesangspädagogik an der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien. Derzeit nimmt sie Privatunterricht bei Nenad Marinković.
Bei Wettbewerben wie Prima la Musica und Musica Juventutis gewann sie den ersten Preis, Meisterkurse besuchte sie u.a. bei Emma Kirkby, Marjana Lipovšek, Benoît Dratwicki und Jory Vinikour. Auf der Opernbühne verkörperte sie bisher Den gestiefelten Kater in der gleichnamigen Kinderoper von César Cui, Aloès in Emmanuel Chabriers „L’Étoile“, Zerlina in W. A. Mozarts „Don Giovanni“, Dorinda in G. F. Händels „Orlando“ und Hermione in C. Dienz‘ zeitgenössischer Kinderoper „Die gefesselte Phantasie“.
Mit der Kölner Akademie nahm sie die ,,Matthäus-Passion“ von J. H. Rolle auf. Im Laufe der letzten Jahre trat sie mit diversen Ensembles auf, z. B. mit Momentum Vocal Music, Company of Music, Balthasar-Neumann-Chor und ihrem eigenen Ensemble Zeitenklang. Seit 2021 ist sie ein Mitglied der niederländischen Chöre Cappella Amsterdam, Nederlands Kamerkoor und Amsterdam Baroque Choir. 2024 begann ihre Zusammenarbeit mit dem Österreichischen Ensemble für Zeitgenössische Musik between feathers. Vergangenes Jahr gab sie im Stift Klosterneuburg ein Konzert als Solistin mit der lautten compagney.
Neben Barock- sowie zeitgenössischer Musik gilt ihr Interesse seit jeher auch dem Kunstlied und der Weltmusik, aufgrund ihrer kroatisch-bosnischen Wurzeln insbesondere dem Sevdah.
